Why finish quality matters in food equipment
Check food-contact material, weld finish, drainage, guards and cleaning access before selecting food equipment.
Food-equipment surfaces affect cleaning, inspection, maintenance and operator safety.
Confirm the food-contact material and finish. Check weld consistency, corners, panel joints, drainage points and whether product residue can collect in inaccessible areas. Guards and service panels should be removable without making routine cleaning difficult.
Also check access to pumps, valves, seals and electrical components. These points determine the time required for cleaning and maintenance during normal production.
